Mogual and Tilt internal swap?

can the internal's of the Mogual be swapped with the Tilt to work on the sprint network? Iam just wondering if they have the same mother board and dimensions ??? any input is welcomed. Thanks

I don't think so, because if the Tilt doesn't work on sprint's network in the first place, why would putting it in the Mogul's case make it work any different?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Is there a feature on the Tilt that you want on the Mogul?? Please revise your post.

I think he means swap the insides of the mogul into the tilt and have it working so that way the half with the screen can tilt up instead of just sliding up like the mogul does. I say this cuz I have wondered myself if there would be any way of doing this to my mogul also.

Oooooohh. That would be interesting to try. I highly doubt it though. In reality, the smaller a device is, the less interchangeable it gets. Like a computer: most parts can be swapped out. Laptops: fewer parts can be swapped out. Phones: very few parts can be swapped out. Macs: break the bank for a crappy upgrade.

I would assume that one could if they wanted the Tilt screen swap the top half of the mogul out... I will steal a buddies Tilt tomorrow and compare it to my Mogul and see if it looks possible... All in all if this is what is wanting to be accomplished I would assume its very possible just from looking at his phone shortly...

And fwiw most devices no matter what it may be can be interchanged along the same class of device... Hence most plastics, screens ect on the Mogul, tilt whatever should be interchangeable... They do this for cost savings and Storage... Being in the Electronic MFg industry you would be suprised how so many things can look entirely different on the outside be pretty close to identical on the inside and Vice versa...

Now of course the bottom probably would be slightly different due to the Sim card. I will take a look tomorrow...

I think that if the LCD ribbon of a Tilt can be attached to the main board of a Mogul (if it can fit inside of the tilt rear housing), it should work. If the proper items can be provided, I definitely have the tools to make it happen. Any Tilt donations? That's all I need...

I think the tilt is a thinner device. So the internals might not fit.

Thanks for the info, i like the tilt feature for the mogual. i think the main boards can be very similar due to the similar size. I just hope that the screen plugs are the same? ifso i will try to find the tilt screen and main housing.

I played with a Tilt recently. Seemed different enough to be unlikely, but who knows? Personally, I couldn't find any notable benefit to the tilting of the screen.
