GPS freezes my phone

Does this freeze your phone?

1. Start google maps
2. Click on menu and "use gps"
3. Before finding a lock, uncheck "use gps"

Does your phone freeze for a while?

Re: GPS freezes my phone

It reacts sluggishly for maybe 2-3 seconds, but I wouldn't call that freezing. I voted no.

Re: GPS freezes my phone

ok, enough of the poll, what is your point? do you want a fix for this or not or do you want to sit and talk about it for the rest of the night?

Re: GPS freezes my phone

I have just upgraded to No2Chem's latest 5049 ROM and the GPS seems to lock on faster and the freezing seems to be shorter.. Very strange considering I did do the GPS mode update in my registry when I was on DCD's 2.x ROMs.

Re: GPS freezes my phone

Using DCD's 2.2.3, I get an extremely fast (sometimes as quick as 5 seconds or so) lock and only freezes for about 3 to 5 seconds if I turn it off before it gets a lock.
