3 in 1 Adapter with new rom?

I've read several different post that list issues with stereo adapters after the rom update. Now that I spend more time on my mogul then with my wife , jk! I want to be able to play audio through my car. I am leaning towards the 3in1 adapter that have now surfaced on ebay and moguldept. http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-3in1-Stereo-...QQcmdZViewItem

This would give me that ability to plug in a tape deck adapter while still charging the unit. I also like this style as my car mounts openning is only really big enough for one plug. I just wanted to check if anyone is using before I purchase.

Thanks
Squeeky

The adapter that comes with the xv6800 allows me to plug into my car stereo and charge at the same time... doesn't the mogul come with this?

It kind of does. the supplied adapter comes with a 2.5mm female recipticle. standard headphone size is 3.5mm. you can obtain an adapter that will adapt from the 2.5 to 3.5mm for very cheap from Radio Shack Like this one

Re: 3 in 1 Adapter with new rom?

I actually had an adapter from my old treo, but for some reason I get an Err on the tape deck after it plays for like 30sec.

I figured that was due to the fact that it's used for headset with mic

Re: 3 in 1 Adapter with new rom?

I just bought the same thing a couple of weeks ago on e-bay as well. I love it. It works perfectly and the sound is great. I don't think that you can go wrong with buying it. Its so much cheaper than trying to get a bluetooth rec. or radio and the sound is better.

Re: 3 in 1 Adapter with new rom?

Just found out if you follow these steps your 3 in 1 adapter should work. You have to start the stream or file without the adapter plugged in. Then plug the adapter in. Then plug the headphones or speakers into the adapter. Worked for me.
