Cool addon to the Mogul

For anyone looking for a bigger screen and keyboard this is a cool addon but a little expensive.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

That's awesome. I'd never buy it, but pretty cool none the less. I didn't see a price anywhere, what is it supposed to cost?

It's supposed to be around $500.
It's kinda cool, but the Foleo was going to be in that price range and it had an operating system on it. This thing doesn't even have an OS, it just loads up what you see on your phone on a larger screen. It has graphics drivers and such, but I don't think it's worth that much when you can get a full featured notebook for around the same price.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

Yeah it is a cool concept but like you all said it is really not worth the money. I think it will flop just like the Palm Foleo did.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

i agree with your sentiment as well, it is gonna be quite a bust... plus i never saw the touch on the list of tested devices, even though it might work, i still wouldn't buy it personally.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

Came here for the Foleo comments and wasn't disappointed. For the same reason there will probably be a very small market for this.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

Makes you wonder if some people ever consider demand for a product before they build it. A cheapo dell laptop can be had for $400-$500 and does a whole lot more.

Re: Cool addon to the Mogul

If this was a touchscreen tablet, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Consider the use in a car for GPS, Music, Movies(with proper drivers of course). Hang it on the dash. Handsfree option hopefully. The key, and the thing that makes this different than previous attempts, is the evdo we have now. If you are made of money and don't mind paying for extra data cards with monthly subscription then forget it, but legally tethering with no extra fees in a car, fantastic. Use with usb on airplanes, very small. Meetings with handwritten notes. How fast would the free data pay for the device, especially when the price came down. Think outside the box please. Just adopt a Tilt format with a tilting slideout keyboard and a touchscreen.
