When using internet sharing... sprint pcs or POM?

When tethering mogul to laptop over cable or bluetooth, for network should I choose phone as modem or sprint pcs? What is the difference? Also, are there any other setting changes that I should make?

Thank You

Edit: Meant to say PAM*

I'm going to bump this because I am sure someone here knows the answer. I've done a lot of searching for the answer and heard different answers.

Yup both work for me as well, but I've heard talk about one or the other charging money. Do you happen to know anything about that?

Re: When using internet sharing... sprint pcs or POM?

OK, I'm 99% sure that it makes no difference at all. they both dial out to #777, so there really the same thing. the ability to pick one or the other is a hold over from WMobile. sprint doesn't distinguish the two. if you were on another carrier, the option might have meaning, but not with sprint.

as for getting $$charged$$, i have NEVER heard of anyone being charged for tethering, BUT you are breaking the rules if you tether without a PAM plan, so there is no garintee(sp). just don't go crazy and you will probably be OK. also, you might want to look into the reg hack that nu2chem came up with if you all ready haven't done it.

Okay. Thank you delawaresace. Which reg hack are you referring to? What does it do? Thanks again.
