Text message button open new text rather then ask which account

I was wondering if there was a way to make it so that the text button at the lop right, when pressed will open a new text message instead of asking you what you would like to do. ex. Text message, email or new email account.

I would like to press it and be able to just start a new text without having to click that button then select at the bottom or click text messages.

You can try going to the Messaging Options and at the bottom is a check box. Uncheck it and it won't display the options anymore. You will still have to select Menu > New to start a new txt message, but at least it won't show the picker anymore.

I didn't know this and it's been bugging me too.

You know what's REALLY been bugging me though is the fact the lag involved with hitting new message and starting to type. Im still on the first gps rom, is any fo this lag fixed with the customs?

I've been using No2's custom WM6.1 Rom and the keyboard seems more responsive than any of the Sprint Roms.
