Question Removal of ringer delay

Hey,

I tried searching for this but kept getting a 503 internal error so I figured I would ask to see if I could get a response.

I'm sure some of you have already done this but I was wanting to get rid of the delay on the ringer when receiving calls.

When I get a phone call it seems like the ringer lags and replays part of the ring tone when first receiving the call.

Is there anyway to make it so that the ringer doesn't lag when first playing? I'm using Ring Type: Ring and Ring Tone : Ringer 2

The phone's screen is off prior to phone call also, so it wakes the phone then rings.

If anyone could help me out that would be much appreciated, thanks.

(also I have a regedit program so I can tweak the reg if needed)

those programming codes do not work when you have a rom flashed on your phone....i changed my number recently and when the rep went through manually programming the phone..it didnt work....needless to say you have to flash back to the original sprint rom for those codes to work...at least in my own experience

Re: Removal of ringer delay

All the codes will still work regardless of what ROM you use. Just make sure you are letting the extROM customizations run after the first boot after a flash. Then hard reset and skip the extROM.

Re: Removal of ringer delay

I think the original poster is talking about the slight pause of the ring tone once the phone actually starts ringing (not the fact that it rings a few times on the caller's end before ringing your handset). If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

Re: Removal of ringer delay

Just run \Windows\epst.exe or \Windows\epst.lnk to get to the EPST screen.

Re: Removal of ringer delay

It only worked for me if I ran the LNK, not the EXE. ##PST# still works though (running dcd ROM, soon going to try no2chems), but I like having the alternative. I copied the shortcut to the Windows\Start Menu\Settings for easy access. (Will likely make it available in one of the today plugins since I find myself tinkering in there WAY too much. )
