Req: Bluetooth over car stereo

I was wondering if anyone would want to write up a Bluetooth over car stereo FAQ/tutorial. This information is extremely spread out. I am planning on buying a bluetooth stereo as soon as i do my research on whats good. But until then i don't really have any access to play around with anything. So i was asking for help. There is some information out there but it is kinda spread out and hard to search through.

ide recomend you go to a car audio forum, in order for there to be a write up you'll have to have first hand experience with the various units. www.crutchfield.com is a good informative audio website

I have no problem with My bluetooth deck.. Was just straight forward... setup partnerships and select connect.. Bluetooth music and all work just peachy...

No issues at all what so ever with it.. Currently have a Sony Xplod High End BT Deck... Forget the model # off hand but its pretty slick... But really it was a no brainer..

Well i am seeing programs like A2DPToggle, BTAudio etc, I don't really know what they are used for? These phones are designed to only send the phone via bluetooth but these enable all audio? Also i see people having issues with it not automatically connecting and they are having to do it manual every time. Hell i have never synced anything bluetooth before so maybe i am just being overly nervous about it.

I have extensivly researched this topic. there are many ways to do music in car via bluetooth. It also depends on your budget and which route would be more convenient.

Option 1 : buy a2dp profile supported bluetooth car stereo. this setup will require you to connect phone to stereo and then you off to enjoy music. As far as i know , a2dp does not connect automatically unlike headset. you have manually iniciate pairing. there are plugin available to make this process one touch (mentioned in previous post).

Option 2: cheaper way to do it(this is what i am using) for those who still have cassette player.
buy A2DP receiver (bt to 3.5mm) adpater (available online/ebay for 10-40 dollar) and 3.5mm to cassette adapter. your phone pairs up to adapter and send signal through cassette adapter.

if budget is not a concern, go for option 1. but i went for second and all i spent was 25 bucks.

HIGHLY RECOMEND: :change bt stack registry setting to 48000 mhz and set jointstereo to 1 to get best audio out of phone. audio quality will same as ipod if not better

goodluck and ask if you any other concern.

One option is...

Why not buy the Parrot MK6100 BT kit with A2DP and audio streaming via any car radio?

I have a Pioneer DEH-P980BT, it has built-in bluetooth for hands-free as well at BT-Audio and works great. the radio msrp is about $570, but you can find it on ebay much cheaper than that.

Just curious, what A2DP receiver are you using?

Ok so i dropped by my local car stereo store and said let me test some stuff out. They let me play with a Sony MEX BT-2500. I turned my phone BT on then scanned for connections XPLODE came up as an option so i synced up and it asked for a password through in 0000 and it synced up nicely. At this point i believe only the phone was going through BT correct? As soon as a run a program like BTAudio it we reroute all sounds through the BT. I use TCPMP for my music now how do i get the car decks control to control TCPMP? Does it just work or is it something that is only WMP compatible or something like that? Also how do i know its A2DP? it synced up but how do i know the best quility is coming through?
