I need to know if my Mogul is dead for good

Yesterday my mogul started stalling sporadically and missing calls. I turned it off for a bit to give it a rest and when I attempted to turn it back on I got nothing.

Figuring it was a low-charged battery, I plugged it in and attempted to charge it, but no charging lights came on and the phone was still dead. I let it charge for a bit, then attempted a soft reset with no results. Then a hard reset with no results. I also attempted to get it into bootloader which you guessed it: has no results.

If I remove the battery the red charging light comes on and stays on, but no activity seems possible otherwise. I let it charge overnight and got nothing. Vista recognizes it immediately when I plug it in, but only sees it as an unknown USB Device.

Is it possible to recover from this?

I also cleaned the contacts on the battery and gold leads with alcohol, and tried removing my 2GB MicroSD card (no results)

I've only had the phone for a month. Could the battery have died that quickly?

ive had mine since september and mine jus straight up wouldnt do anything one day becuz the battery had failed miserably. im not gonna tell u tht the battery is the reason but i would suggest going and seeing if tht is it. these devices r so unique with the problems tht whts good for somebody may ruin someone elses. jus saying somethings maybe device specific.

Im wondering if the problem can be recreated (so we can pin point whats going on). Have you flashed your device or mabye installed any cabs recently. Maybe dropped it. I know these are basic questions, but im sure it will help in comparing notes
