Other than it costs nothing at the moment, there are two distinct advantages for using IMAP that I prefer:
- A message that has been "Read", stays "Read." My Gmail POP continues to deliver "New" mail to me, even though I read it already. - My Yahoo folders are accessible, in that I'm able to file items on the Yahoo mail server. Those features are nice to have, but the $0 was the clincher - heh. More info on IMAP here if you'd like to read: http://www.imap.org/imap.vs.pop.html |

I didn't even have to enter in any settings. Actually, there wasn't even a place where I could enter my settings. wm 6.1 just found the yahoo settings and the auto entered them in. So nobody has to pay for the mail services this way? I just dont want to end up getting charged somehow.
