Diffs between Tilt and Mogul/6800

AT&T just moved into my area a couple of weeks ago, taking over CellOne. They have the Tilt. My wireless provider, a local company, will not have the PPC6800 until March. Mostly I'm holding out for the EVDO speeds, but it seems like both phones are pretty close, besides the obvious tilting. What am I missing? If any of you guys prefer the Mogul over the Tilt, why?

Besides EVDO Rev. A, the Tilt is equal or better in almost every way. It's a little bulkier, but has twice as much RAM (128MB instead of 64MB), which makes a huge difference in performance. And a much better camera phone. And the Tilt's internal GPS has been active/working since its relese.

What makes the Mogul more appealing than the Tilt, is Sprint's SERO plan, EVDO coverage, and the slightly more compact size of the Mogul.

I agree.

For me it was a Cheap data plan & Rev. A so I went for the Mogul.
However 128MB RAM is awesome & so is the 3.0MP camera of the Tilt.

What I don't like about the mogul is the mundane 64MB of RAM (For the love of air, WHY not 128MB?!)
What I don't like about the Tilt is AT&T (They are evil when it comes to PPCs, EVIL!*)

Thats where my Pro/Con ends... I hope it helps.

*=You were warned. (Google some facts about it.)

The 3.0MP camera awesome haha? If you honestly put that in your reasons to want to jump ship over to it you would be very disappointed. The camera on that phone is just as below average is the on on the 6800. You're better off with the 2.0MP camera on the 6800 that also comes with a flash that the tilt does not have.

The Tilt is the best PPC phone out there. Unfortunately, it's on AT&T's craptastic network. A graet phone on a crappy network is useless.

The only major deficiency of the Titan is the 64MB of RAM. Other then that, its the best either Sprint or Verizon have to offer.

I dont run too many things at the same time on my Titan/Mogul so the shortness of RAM doesnt bother me. With GPS capability now I think It is a much better choice if I had to choose. For one it is lighter. Slightly thinner. Comes with Flash for night shots (although I rarely use the camera) and flash can be used as a flashlight with the right software installed (I use this quite a lot). I also like that it has additional outside button I can pre configure for easy app launching. Screen is centered (my preference). Really the only thing lacking is the memory and the camera. But again I dont run a lot at once and rarely use the camera.

Oh and lets not forget as someone already mentioned, Sprint offers cheaper data and voice plan.

So what is the name of that software that allows you to use the "flash" as a led flashlight?

I'd also agree, over time, with ATT data and voice rates, it makes the TILT much more expensive!

ive had the 6800, Tytn, and now i have the Tilt.
the tilt is the best one yet. why?
-the colors on the numeric keypads.
-the SIM card location is convenient (not behind the battery)
-the SD card slot has a cover now so your SD card cant shoot out without you knowing it (not that its ever happened but you know it could)
-the stylus on this thing is awesome, best stylus ive ever owned. its long and sharp.
-the phone looks pimp
-the tilt feature is very usefull
-camera is much better than 6800 and Tytn
-128mb of ram
-internal GPS working out of the box
-it tells you exactly how much battery you have left (ex:73% left) but the mogul only displays 90%,80%,70%, etc.
-when exploring the /Windows folder, it doesnt take 6 seconds to load, it only takes half the time now.
-smaller but a tiny bit heavier than the tytn
-phone turns on when you slide it to landscape mode instead of having to slide open and press power
