Soft reset & 10 minute delay for EVDO/1XRT signal ROM 3.16
 

Every time I reset my mogul, it takes about 10 minutes to find a signal. This began happening after the 3.16 upgrade from 2.17.

I used vista and olipro v2 unlocker. I have not relocked my phone yet.

Should I try to re-flash?

I think last night I had that problem. I am soft resetting now. Will update back when I have service again.

Well... I booted up fine then it appeared to immediately grab 1x then an EV signal. I clicked on HTC Home and tried to update the weather. It said dialing #777 and got hung. In a few seconds. my S2u2 kicked in and it appeared like I was calling #777, but the phone was unresponsive. I had to soft reset again...

The 2nd reset, I started PIE first, and it worked as normal..

Kinda quirky.

i had the same problem, probably reflashing won't help

Try this, go to your phone settings and switch from automatic to sprint only and that should work. Everytime you reset should connect right away.

My main issue with this is that I normally roam freely on Verizon and that really helps in places like the DC metro where there is only Verizon service. It sucks to be mid-download or reading a website only to lose signal in the tunnels now. I used to be just fine.

Sprint Only mode still lags to get any signal (approx 3-5 min now)
I have now reflashed with a vista machine and a xp pro machine. both with different download sources of the 3.16 ROM update. Do I need to "relock" the phone for it to work properly?
