Probably a dumb question... need help with GSAlarmClock

Hello,
I'm having a problem with GSAlarmClock. I installed the ARM version of the software. First question: Which one am I supposed to install? The zip file comes with ARM, MIPS, SH3, and WM2003.

Here's my biggest problem. I plug my phone into the power outlet to charge it at night. I set the alarm. My power settings are as follows for the external power: Backlight off 1 minute, Turn off 10 minutes. The alarm does not go off when it is supposed to. However, AFTER the time the alarm was supposed to go off, I press the power button and the screen turns on and the alarm immediately sounds.

I guess my summarized questions are:
What version do I need to install on the XV6800?
What settings do I need to ensure are set so that alarm still sounds while charging and the device has powered itself off after 10 minutes?

Mind you, the device is not COMPLETELY off, just suspended I guess you call it (I've always gotten the terminology mixed up between just pressing the power button and holding the power button until the device is completely shut down lol)
