transparent today bars

Does anyone know of a way to get the today bars (start and soft keys) to be transparent? basically I'm looking for some program or hack to make it so all you see is the words such as start and contacts and such instead of having the intire bar show.

Not sure if this will do what you want, but this free app will allow you to customize the the softkeys/taskbar.

If not, Wisbar certainly will do this for you, however, it's not free.
