Re: So why is the titan so popular?

I came from the Treo 700wx, miss having more ram but on the other side the whole lots more storage memory is great and I dont run into many ram problems, in fact the only time I had an issue was trying to run opera 9 other than that I run spb phone emails check hourly an mre just have **** load stuff installed and this is the best (toy)(phone)(pda) or whatever you want to call it. I call it my mini laptop cause I do everything on here from email to reg web browsing with opera mini, In fact I am typing from this great keyboard right now. Bottom line I am a big fan of this XV6800

Re: So why is the titan so popular?

I like my 6800 because it's a baby computer in my pocket. It does everything my big box does, including attach to a printer if that's necessary. I forewent a laptop because I learned to use this thing. It are AWESOME.

I think it's because it is so versatile and you can change it to fit you. I've updated the ROM a few times, added some performance tweakers, and the thing gallops like a horse. My only prob right now is playing music off my storage card. The storage card works quite well, stores everything and does programs, but no music. I guess that's small potatoes if you think about it. I mean, one can always use main memory for that.

But yes, the 6800 rox. It's like XP vs Vista. Hehe.

Re: So why is the titan so popular?

I just got my MOGUL yesterday and I am in the process of reading all of the info in these forums....

I have one question out there though for everyone.... I haven't gotten into the optimization threads yet, but now after reading this it seems I need to.... Is the Mogul that bad without updating anything?? I work for Sprint (Network) and am very computer literate, but I literally do not know anything about mobile phones. I'm an electrical engineer but have somehow managed to avoid all advanced cellular devices until now where I get everything for the donut. Now I have this phone and I'm ready to learn.....

I'll be lurking trying to get setup here, and thanks to all for the great info on this site...

Re: So why is the titan so popular?

This is my 4th smartphone (well, 5th if you could the Sidekick LX, but I don't).

I originally used a Sprint Palm Treo 650 to a Centro then I got the Q. I got the Q becuase I didn't like how small the keyboard was on the Centro. My then gf got me the Sidekick just becuase she hated that I always complained about the Q's battery. We broke up and I tossed the Sidekick and splurged and got the Mogul. People were surprised I could dumb down and use EDGE and they were right, I hated it. I needed not only EV-DO, but WiFi and Rev A. I've always loved Windows Mobile for their openness and customization, and the Mogul seems to fit all those categories and then some. I know the Apache was easily one of the most popular WinMo phones in Sprint's collection, and the Mogul kinda took over for them. My Mogul will basically do anything except make a Denver omelette and perform fellatio, but with the way tech is going....

Aside from the Verizon version...??? ..coming from the hapless 700w this device has a very high fun-factor...almost limitless in its upgrade capabilities and damn what the Sprint users say...grey rhymes more with gay then blue...

I don't think it was a rhyming game... blue is just gay.
