Mogul calls people at random

Yay, a new problem with the Mogul.

The phone, while sitting not in use, will, at random, dial and call the 'last called' person. If they answer, they will be able to hear everything on my end as if I had called them.

Once I had my father call me and tell me my phone had called him earlier, he was able to hear a convo. with a friend I was with.

Today I had the phone sitting on the desk, next to my laptop using WMWifiRouter. Had not touched the phone for ~1 hr. A friend was sitting across from me with his phone on the desk. He had left the room, and I walked around and his phone rang. I took a peek and it was ME calling him, lol. Go to look at my phone and it shows the WMwifirouter screen, phone app minimized on the background. The phone does keep a record of the call.

Sweet feature. Not.

button maybe?

perhaps the green call button is defective and registers a button press at random from vibration or movement?

are you using a BT headset? I had a motorola POS headset that would activate calls... the button was bad.. a different headset fixed this.

also... on my mogul if I use the power/wired headset Y-adaptor and wiggle it where it connects to the mogul it will think I have pressed the handsfree button. (loose connection)

if you are using any headsets, try not using them and see if it helps.

if its not a headset problem then perhaps a Slide to Unlock program can help you for the time being.

I would also suggest doing a hard reset to see if that fixes anything (although it sounds like a hardware issue to me).

Good Luck,
phaZed

I'm glad im not the only one who's had this happen. My phone called my g/f the other night 8 times straight. Good thing I wasn't sneaking around! =D>

Might be time for a trip to the sprint store though...

My mogul does this too. I've had to put it in lock mode every time I holster it.

Mines does this at times and I have S2U2 installed so I dont accidentally call people.

This has happened three times where I've called the Director of Operations for my company on accident, very annoying.

I'm not sure if maybe it's calling them before s2u2 activates, and possibly I'm hitting a button?
