So, how is the GPS/ Rev A update going to work?

if you read in the htc web site it tells you that it uses the gps antenna already incorporated with the mogul update jus decripples it from sprint e911 only use

no as long as u just use free programs u good to ride sprint dnt check ur gps use u can just use google maps and you wont have a problem

basically, they're going to unbreak the phone, or enable that which was already physically installed.
i have this real icky feeling that they'll try and gimp it to only work with the pay services like telenav and garmin
i want to try it with Live Search

knowing sprint they'll put some type of G-14 classified API layer on it so we cant use anything but the GPS service that they want to charge us for. Our hackers are good, but hey we couldnt hack the GPS to work in the first place, so I wouldnt doubt if they outsmart us again. 9.99/month is not worth it to me.

if things are done anything like gps in kaiser it will just be just there and available to use with any app
