Tried to go back to 2.17, stuck at HTC screen

OK, first to let everybody know what I have done so far:

* Flashed to the test 3.16 custom ROM (used both shadowmite and supervillama) after updating to the new 2.40 Olipro bootloader.

* As I was having data disconnect issues and generaly flakiness, I decided this morning that I was going to go back to 2.17 with 1.40 Radio. I used the RUU to try to go back to the 1.40 radio, but it failed and would not commit. So I went back to the 2.17 Radio instead. That seemed to install just fine.

* I then tried to go back to a custom 2.17 ROM, which did flash fine. However I am now stuck in what would be the HTC Mobility screen (dcd's clean rom).

* I have tried to go back into the bootloader (power, camera, soft reset) and reflash multiple times, however I always get an Error 328 Invalid Command. It won't go any farther than 1 percent. I tried to go back to a stock 2.17 with the same error.

* My laptop is Windows XP, and it is my primary machine that I flash ROMs with.

Is there anything that I can do?

EDIT:I can get a complete flash if I use the RUU from DogGuy' 4.2 kitchen, but it is still sticking at the HTC screen.

To roll back, i had to use the titan relocker, then flash stock 2.17.

OK I'll do that.

As A side note, I was just able to reflash your ROM back succssfully. It must have something to do with the radios, because any ROM that has one in it fails.

So, I'll do the relock the I can flash Sprint's stock 2.17 with the 1.47.01 (ugghh) radio, right?

Thanks.

Correct =] Then if you want to flash custom 2.17, you will need to run the old unlocker then rom of choice for 2.17

Try this.
Go to bootloader mode ( camera button + powerbutton pressed and reset )
Then flash 3.16 rom and 3.27 radio.
Once you got it to work, sync using active sync and then use relocker.
after that flash 2.17
