a few basic things i can't remember how to do

so after upgrading my mogul to a few of the one of the great new rom's i can't remember how to do a few basic things and its driving me crazy. for instance, i have slingplayer saved to my memory card and i can't figure out how to get the icon in the start menu or in the programs folder. i thought i could just copy and paste the logo and put it in the start menu tab under windows but that doesn't work. any help?

also, how can i put the icon for a program i use regularly on the "home" portion of my phone so i could have that icon on my desktop? for instance i want the S2U2 lock botton on the home of my phone but can't figure out how to get it there.

thanks for the help

1) Place links/programs in /windows/start menu/programs.

2) Are you talking about the HTC Home plugin?
