problems removing programs

Mogul 6800 - WM6. I've tried to remove two programs (wmwifi router and pointUI home) by using the remove program function on the Mogul AND by using the remove program function provided by activesync.

What's weird is that both program are not removed despite repeated attempts and they both still appear on my device's Program screen. Not only that but I can still run them!

However, they do not appear in the active sync Add/Remove list nor in the list of removable programs accessed bysettings/system/remove programs on the Mogul

What is going on? any ideas?

Thanks.

thanks but when I tap "uninstall" on the update manager screen and then the green checkmark when it asks "Are you sure you want to remove Home v1.01b from your device?" - it then says "An update is available for: Home v1.01b Free and must be installed immediately". There's only the green check mark, not the red x at the bottom. When I tap the green check mark it appears to load something then returns right back to the original home screen and it's still there?

I can't kill it!!!

When it comes up for the update, hit the hardware end button

boy - I would have never thought of using that button to remove a program!

I think I've removed the main program but how do I now remove the update manager program?

thumbs down for pointui

As promising a program as pointui may be, I can't stand programs that purposely make it difficult to remove... reminds me of the old days when you wanted AOL messenger and the whole pc got taken over by AOL crap.

Actually the juvenile thinking behind this 'difficulty to remove' has turned me off completely from any future versions of pointui home. It may win them some customers who give up trying to remove, but in the long run it will hurt them as newer users become more savvy.

it's not listed on the screen for removal - either on the device or thru acticve sync. Guess I'll have to drill down and find it through file explorer and then delete?
