Problem with touch keypad on 6800

Anyone else install the HTC Touch Keyboard\keypad on their xv6800?
The application works fine but when i use the physical keyboard the A,O,W, and maybe a few others causes the onscreen screen courser to blink and you have to wait like like 2-3 seconds before typing the next character or it will transpose your letters.
I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled with the same end result. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you have the problem when the HTC Touch application was not installed? If so get the device replaced. If not, don't reinstall the application.

No, if i uninstall the HTC touch keypad the issue goes away. I'd like to be able to use both. I"m wondering if there is some registry setting to fix this.

Wiping it all out and starting from scratch seems to be a bit much for what is essentialy a nusance.
