Adding text message recipients by typing name instead of number

In wm5 I could text anyone in my contacts list by typing any letters of their name, similar to the smart dialer, in the TO: bar. Is there any way to turn this function back on?

That's weird. I do that now on my Mogul. When I go to send a text, I go to messaging, select "new" and in the "To:" field, I just start typing the name and it immediately shows you the contacts that begin with that string.

gotta make sure all your numbers are stored as 'mobile' .. if you keep your contacts as work/home numbers, they won't show up for txting... that may be why they won't show..
