It works ok, the cab isn't configured to work with VPN though.

Almost 98% of the time I need to RDP to work is through VPN, having to manually dial it sucks.

justpctech Generic Question plez !!!

You mentioned that you 'Know" sonicwall... so Please enlighten me will I need a SonicWall VPN Client in addition to the Windows Mobile Remote Desktop App for WM6 ? Cause thats the way it appears to work with a regular PC at home with Win XP Pro.... you need to make a connection with a SonicWall Client,, then and only then can you try to get in through Remote Desktop...

Really sorry if those are Noobie questions, but I couldn't even remote with my workstation at home with XP Pro.......

This thread will be closed shortly if I'm allowed to do that...its getting of the Mobile and too much into RD & networking theory.

thats totally up to the network guys at your work; they "could" allow just a RDP connection if they wanted to, its more of a security thing using the SonicWall VPN client; makes the connection more secure. The firewall in some of the offices I supported would enforce the VPN client, others wouldnt. Here's a link to more info on the VPN client and using it in Windows:
SonicWall VPN Client
has a link to a PDF there. hope this helps.
