Trying to improove A2DP sound quality

I downloaded A2DP audio improvement CAB
When I check the registry everything is as described except
that it didn't create this entery:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd
Add "Priority256 "= dword:60 (Use Dword Value)
When I try to create it manually I get error access denied
What shoul I do ?

Thanks

Description of the CAB file:
improve listening to music via bluetooth

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings\Ma xSupportedBitPool to 50

What is wrong with your sound quality? Ive got a motorola rokrs9 and it sounds fricking great as long as you turn up the media player vol to 100% and use the volume on the rokr for adjustment.

I use the Jabra BT8010 stereo utilizing the A2DP and it sounds fantastic. I do the same thing; turn volume on handset to 100% and adjust on headset.

Gotta second johnnychimpo's comments. My Moto S9 sounds really good. The only thing I must do is make sure the player's volume is turned up the highest. And then afterward control volume with S9. If not, then I can barely hear things.

The loudnes is OK but compare to wired headset it doesn't sound right
Sounds like old radio. The same headset sounds great on my laptop
Sony DS970

You do know that if you are trying to use a regular mono bluetooth that only supports handsfree profile then you are only going to get at best... sound quality like a AM radio. You have to have a stereo headset that supports stereo profile in order to use the A2DP & AVRCP profiles and achieve better sound quality.

What headset are you using?

Yes, I have both profiles checked Wireless stereo and headset
I use Sony/Ericsson DS970

There is something wrong for sure. They should sound loud and have a full range of frequencies. Have you tried reverting to a newer rom for you device yet?

Lifeisfun,

Are you running a stock rom and if so, what version?

Look in Start\Settings\System\Device Information...

lifeisfun 01-04-2008 05:33 PM

I'm running the latest Telus ROM ( WM6) Today I changed
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2 DP\Settings
UseJointStereo: change the DWORD from 0 to 1 and it make huge improvement.

Can you guys tell me what value is set in your registry ?

Thanks
