that waterproof box is an otterbox. the problem is that it's designed for a larger form factor like an axim or an ipaq or somesuch. I would love for otterbox to make a case for the mogul, but they're phone cases are more towards Treos and Blackberries.
that universal case wouldn't really cut it because the edges of the case are designed to hold the edges of teh device. with the smaller mogul, only the screen portion holds the device in, so it's not really secure or protected very well.

No, you just open the lid of the case to use the touch screen. Also with the lid open, the base stays attached to the keyboard, so it will slide open for use.

I do service/construction work and usually have to place my phone in a safe area, I just ordered one of the eBay cases, I will post how I like it in a week or so. ($17.99 plus shipping, $23. bucks and change total)

right, you have to open the case to get to them, it opens like a book, hinge on the left side.

I use this hard case. I am in the concrete field and just slip the phone in my pocket with no worries. Dont buy a cheap hard case knock off from ebay. Buy a quality case here http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=859. I think you can also see the hard case on a youtube video.

Actually, they're probably all made by the same company. The exact same case has been available from many sources long before Seidio started carrying them.

Maybe, and if it was as simple as going to the local store and buying one and being able to return it if it was crap I would try and see but I like to be sure quality arrives the first time I order and wait for an item in the mail
