PPCPIM Back-up - must have app!
Yes - I know this application is mentioned elsewhere. I searched. The problem is that it's buried in other threads and I think it's great enough to merit a thread of it's own. I'm hoping newbies will use this app. to save themselves headaches.
I first found out about this application through the Apache Kitchen. It allows you to back up contacts, emails, speed dials, call history, and even files in the most recent version. I back up all contacts, tasks, etc... with our exchange server but still love it to back up call history, the my documents folder, and speed dials. For those without exchange, I think this is a close to a "must-have" application as you can get. Here's a link to credit the author:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705 |
you can also get the most recently updated version from freewareppc, which is where i found it on friday!
I agree this is a must have app. |
I swear by it. i've been burned by active sync too many times. I do a biweekly contact backup and email myself the pim file in case i need it later. the fle is very small as well!
