Bell PPC 6800>Won't sync with Vista at all

Hello all

Like must people I have two comps

1,running XP
2,Running Vista Premium(lap top)

The 6800 will not at all do anything with the lap-top, I’ve played with the settings everything. Also how it says plug in the Device I do and it different USB plugs and still nothing.

I downloaded of the Microsoft site
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...icecenter.mspx

I also did one for my XP and well that wasn't working at all either

Well guess what, today I went on the Desktop one and opened the program and in the corner there’s Connect so I click it and it set everything up.

Went to try it on the Vista on and nothing,Theres No Connect button or anything.

Also when I deleted/uninstall it and re-install it says new unknown device was installed.

Can I please have some help on this, is there another driver I need to download or something.

Kyle G

if you can't get it to sync in XP and vista, chances are it might be a problem with the handset. I'd say get it swapped.

have you had any other problems with USB on the laptop? Have you tried upgrading any relevant drivers for the laptop? sometimes an old USB driver or a driver conflict will cause issues like that. I used to have a problem with my 6700 syncing with my desktop in XP until I updated the drivers for the motherboard chipset.

As for why I've had all those phones... I have worked for all the major providers in Canada and have worked in IT. Plus I'm a bit of a gadget nut. =)
