What gives?

Sorry if this has been discussed on the site before, i couldn't find it. I am connected to my router but when i start ie it tells me it can't find the page, check name and try again. When i connect it to the desk top for active sync in wifi mode it will work just fine
. Any suggestions or help for that matter?

You might want to make sure that your PPC is getting a good IP address from your router. Check the IP of your Desktop PC and then compare it with the IP address of your PPC. The last (fourth) set of digits should be different, but everything should be the same. If its not the same, then try to reset your router and your PPC. That should help for the most part.

There is also a possiblility that you have MAC filtering on your router which is giving your PPC a 'connected' status but your PPC is giving itself an invalid IP beause your router is not assigning an IP address to your PPC. Look in to that under your router's configuration tools.

Hope this helps to get you started in the right direction for troubleshooting your issue.

Alternately it could be a DNS issue. Try just putting an IP address like this one 204.9.165.226 into Explorer. If the website for Goodmedia comes up then your PPC isn't getting a valid DNS server from your router.
