Check the Device ID
I guess that when you made the hard reset (this sets the device to factory settings), you did not give the same device ID name to your mobil. Activesync expects to have the same device ID in order to restore the data to your mobil. If you gave another device ID, Activesync thinks it is a new device and there is no data in the back up to restore to the new device. Run Activesynk and make sure there is only one partnership. You can delete any unused partnership.
