lost all my phone numbers and activesync wont work
Today when I go o to contacts I just get a dozen old email addresses I had in the phone but ALL my phone number related contacts are gone??
And for the life of me I can get activesync to recognize the phone and sync (to get my contacts back) |
try deletig the partnership from the device and computer the sync fresh.
device - start, settings, active sync tap menu then options and delete the partnership. computer - open activesync then tap file in the top left and click on delete mobile device. Another suggestion, on you device, go to file explorer, tap in top left and choose my devicethen scroll down to the file named PIM aned copy it to your storage card as a backup. |
I used to not use pim backup, now i use it ALL the time. took one time for me to lose everything

Done. Nothing worked.
This particular cable has always worked but im wondering if its been stepped on or damaged or something. It still charges the battery when teathered though. I may buy another cable just for the heck of it. I even reinstalled Activesync just for the heck of it too. :( |
shesh. 3 computers, same resuls.
I can't sync and I can't use this as a modem. that really sucks at home because the only source of internet is this lil screen now. lol a usb cable will recharge the batterybut appears to be unable to transfer data of any form. any ideas are appreciated ! |
Another phone is being mailed to me.

use mail2web.com (live) - its free, it's fast, its over the air syncing... never hurts to have another copy of your PIM data.

Me, myself.
I use Yahoo Go 2.0 to back up/sync constacts & Goosync to sync/backup my calender with Google. I use a combo like that incase AS 4.5 fails. |
Better yet...get ahold of the folks at Dashwire and ask to be part of the beta. All of your photos, videos and contacts are synced to their servers regularly, and you can access all of your information through their very cool website, as well as give people you want access to your photos/videos like Flickr. You can also email or SMS any of your contacts right from the website. Best of all, if you lose all of that information...it is right there, ready to be synced back to your phone.
