Touch Screen stops working....

Hi there...

I have the Mogul (Sprint), and just today, my touch screen has stopped working a couple of times. I can still use the buttons to get places, but HELLO! this is supposed to have a touch screen. I did a soft reset (twice already this morning), and it seems to solve the problem temporarily. It hasn't done it in a few minutes now...but I'm still concerned...

To give you all more info...I have the latest ROM update from the HTC website. The programs I have installed are: Google Maps, HTC_CUBE_1.0_BY_LEO2016, HTC HTC Home, Octro, Yahoo Go 2.0.
I also added a couple of themes - literally like three. And of course a bunch of ringers.

Do you by any chance have a screen protector on the screen? If the screen protector gets between the plastic frame and the digitizer it will render the touch screen useless. (The plastic frame is the actuall outside of the phone and the digitizer is the covering over the screen that reads where the pressing is happening.

That happened to me. My screen protector actually got pressed on too tightly and it made the screen think it was already being pressed. I lifted it off and reapplied and all was fixed.
