Today screen, volume and Javascript
Hi guys...I had the 6700 and just upgraded to the 6800 for verizon...I am quite new at the ppc world and am looking for suggestions on which apps I should install first and how. (like I said I am new)..lol I have two things that bother me off of the bat...The volume when on speakerphone which was the same on the 6700...too low..., and how do I get new skins for the today screen...the ones that came with this phone are horrible...I would like it to include the weather and the slide to unlock.. Lastly, when i go to youtube i can't play video and it tells me I don't have java enabled or I need to download the latest version..What is that about???.If anyone wants to help a new guy learn the ropes it would be greatly appreciated...I know it takes patience

I don't even have my 6800 yet (soon my provider will have it), but I've been lurking here for almost a month reading up on all the goodies. At least two of the three things you ask about are covered in detail in this forum. You just have to take the time and do a lot of searching, and a lot of reading...

k. get weatherpanel. best weather app out there with a million skins. google it. skins are everywhere including our skins section on this site. google it. now the youtube thing is a little different. there are a ton of ways to go about it. I uswe my orb to watch them but some people use I think avot and there are other methods. ppcs don't play it out of the box. once again google it. google watching youtube on 6800. it brought up a ton of links for me. now slide 2 unlock. there are 2 by ac. the first he is through with. the new one he's workin on now also has full screen callerid built in. I would suggest the second. s2u2. google it. he's over at xdadevelopers.com. hope this helps.
