CDMA will never see the Tilt. We're not talking about getting HTC to add memory to the phones. We're talking about adding memory to our phones ourselves or through a third party.

By 2009 the there will be sequels to the Tilt and Mogul.

I hope so. I mean the tilt is a really great phone. But always room for improvements.

I just sent PPC Techs a message about adding RAM to the Titan. If we all do, they might see there is a market for it and do it.

That would be great, but honestly, how many people are actually going to pay for the upgrade? For me, it isn't a money issue. I don't want to have it done, then need my phone repaired by Sprint. They can't repair shit, now my $120 is gone and I have a new phone with 64MB again. Otherwise I would be all over this too.

Oh man. I like cookies.

I have enjoyed my Alltel-mogul version. Hands down the best smart device I have ever owned. I close my apps after using so ram doesnt hinder my usage. The Touch is a fine unit with more ram, etc but lacking some common features found on other units. However the smart device market is growing and this limits the lifespan of a devce in terms of status, support, etc to about 2 years or less. But the technology is advancing fast and that is great news!

Within 5 years, all devices will likely have complete touch (or voice) interfaces, BT 3.0, 6GB Rom/2GB Ram, GPS standard, ~2000mah batteries and even more applications & usages short of microwaving a frozen pizza.

I've been a little late to the Mogul party, having only had it for two weeks now, but the nice thing is the 2.17 ROM came out. I flashed it and I love the Mogul. I don't think I'll miss the extra 64MB of RAM.

I have a Touch on the way, but as it stands, the Touch might not stick around for long. Maybe I'll keep it as a backup. I really wish that Sprint would allow us to register more than one phone, and then be able to do an ESN swap at will online, without having to "chat" with a CSR to do it. That would be the best alternative to SIM cards.
