HELP! HTC Home Plug-in bug: incorrect sms count

I've been having this little problem with the HTC Home plug-in for the past couple of weeks. It used to keep track of the sms' that I received but now the count doesn't revert back to "0" when I check/clear the messages.

My default number is 2 so I have to keep in mind to subtract 2 whenever I check my messages, lol.

Any suggestions for a fix?

I have the same problem, except I always have 1 new SMS now. Is there a fix for this?

This is an old bug. As far as I know, the only thing you can do is soft reset and hope that it will go away. There's been times where the ghost SMS remains even after I soft reset multiple times.

I thought there was a small program. It was like Fix Unread Count or something. You just run it when the SMS count goes crazy. I'll try to track it down for you

EDIT: What do you know? It was on my phone =]

Here you go! I hope it helps with the home plugin.

I've actually had the problem where it doesn't show the correct SMS or missed call count, but it's not showing too many, it just stays at zero. Maybe it's because I'm using threaded SMS? Not sure about the missed calls issue though. Because of this I had to stop using the home plugin (even though I love the look of it) it just annoyed me too much not being fully functional.
