When you say the time revert back to Central Time Zone, are you saying the time itself get revert to Central Time or the Time Zone setting get revert to Central Time?
Make sure your Time Zone is set to EST. (Setting -> Clock and Alarm -> GMT-5 Eastern US) |

Yep... You go into the Clock and alarm panel... set GTM-5 Eastern then save... immediately re-open the panel and it's back to GTM-6 Central. You can repeat this process as often as you like, the EST time will never hold. (nor will any other time zone... no matter what you choose it will immediately re-select Central)
(interestingly as well it will also update the clock and shift it an hour but it won't shift back when it reselects CST... so if you repeat the above process 5 times the clock will end up 5 hours ahead) No other time / calendar apps installed and network time syncing is disabled. (with it enabled the time is just an hour off since the phone insists it's in CST) |

Another piece of information... if I choose the "Visiting" option and set that to EST... then it will do the same for that... move it back to CST. It's almost like something in the background is seeing the registry change for the current time zone and immediately putting the CST value back no matter what you set it to.

Fixed it.
Re-installed the timezone update from Microsoft. Not sure why but this seems to have re-written the reg values for the time zones. It holds EST now when selected. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...g/default.mspx |
