Any lucky 2.16 users

What do I mean by that?

Luck as in:

Quote:
"Oh hey I'm having none of the problems you guys are having & I'm doing the same thing."
I doubt it but I'd feel I'd better ask now, since I'm getting my Mogul today.

No benefit

2.16 screwed my phone royally. It was the straw that broke the camels back. Following that ROM upgrade I unlocked the phone and have now hard reset and tried at least three custom roms (one wm5 rom.... Sampsons) and am now using No2Chems custom with some success. I have started telling people to stay away from the Mogul and even (shock horror) said the iWord the other day..... help. I am going to the dark side.

Well I don't use BT much lately, so issues with the directional pad are non-existant (obviously)..plus I don't ever even use the directional pad, so big frekin deal.

My phone was experiencing the slowdowns and whatnot and I'd have to reboot the darn thing multiple times a day - until I went into the phone properties and shut off roaming. The phone's locked to Sprint only and since then I haven't rebooted (this was a few weeks ago if I'm not mistaken).

Definately looking forward to a new update, but I still prefer 2.16 to the 2.09 overall, as long as you turn off roaming.

brian. Yea that was my exact experience with 2.16 up until colonel pushed me into investigating the bluetooth issues. Bluetooth active on the phone definately upsets the power mangement balance.

Problem is, until i started messing w/ bluetooth to try and "resolve" it for this issue, i was not a bluetooth user.

Now i'm a bluetooth addict and just GOTTA have it....

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Have a great turkey day.

2.16 has been working well with BT after changing the registry disable auto suspend key so that the Mogul doesn't power down while BT is on. I live in a large metropolitan area so I typically never switch out of EV coverage. I use both a BT headset and a combined BT handsfree with BT FM transmitter. I only use the d-pad on a limited basis but it has been working fine.

Of course, it is a Windows OS, therefore resetting, rebooting and ctrl-alt-del are all very familiar activities. lol

The worse thing about not having 2.16 was the awesome battery life on it. I could use my phone all day and it would only drop to 60%

Im using no2chems alpha rom which is based on 2.16. No problems here using any programs. Of course i dont have any bluetooth devices to play with so the bluetooth related issues were never a problem for me.

Good to know, I wont bank my hopes on that.
But same here, EVDO is full blast where I am.

If you can get me that registry key, post it here or PM it.

I've had no big problems with my 2.16 Mogul..

The alarm is fixed, my BT GPS receiver works fine, and all is well.

That being said, I do have to restart every once and a while, but the old ROM did that anyway...just a lack of RAM thing.

Don't be scared about the Mogul..it's a great phone IMO, I just think the worst comes out in the forums.

I have had no problems with 2.16, but like some others, I never use Bluetooth...so that might make a difference. I'm running HTChomeplug on the home screen, and it's fantastic...I've had NO problems whatsoever.
