Phone button no longer brings up phone...

Hey all. I used Colonel's Oct21 ROM for awhile, until my text message count got stuck at 1 and would not go down. So, for the past day, I'd been taking UTexas' latest for a ride. Earlier tonight, I wanted to order a pizza. Pulled out my trusty Sprint Mogul and hit the green phone button... Nothing happened. Hm. Odd. So, I did a soft reset, figuring that fixes about 99% of the problems I've had with this phone. Nope, did not. Ok... well... UTexas' ROM is out. So, I hooked up DCD's Clean Custom ROM. Well, that didn't work either. So back to Colonel's. NOPE. Why isn't my Phone Button working?! anyone have any ideas?

can you get your dialer to come up at all?? or is it just that button that isnt working??
