Should I try to get a Mogul or a refurb 6700?

I just dropped my 6700 and broke my screen. By accident. I just flashed it 2 days ago. Damn .

Is this phone (the Mogul) better than my 6700? Should I push to keep my 6700?

you should be able to get sprint to fix the screen for $50 or so even without insurance. They just swap out the top half. Takes about 2 hours.

I'd go for the Mogul, too. I never had a 6700, but did have an 8125 (Wizard) and the Mogul really kicks ass over that machine.

depends on what you do with your phone. The ROM development is farther along with the 6700, and most users who have flashed are pretty happy with it. The 6800 has some big problems with bluetooth with many users while other users are happy with their bluetooth. The official ROM update from HTC/Sprint has be pulled because it is not working properly. That said, some users are reporting that their phone is fine with the new 2.16 update.

It seems like the quality control of the Mogul is not great and some users get very poor bluetooth while others have fine BT.

On another note, ROMs are coming out now and it would appear that the community is working on a remedy for the bluetooth issues either with ROMS from other carriers (QWEST) or the Touch which seems to have similar hardware for BT but a newer ROM. So, in time the Mogul issues may be fixed.

Good luck

Go with the mogul, i had the 6700 (and loved it) and the mogul is a nice upgrade. Try to keep all of the negative shit found on this website in perspective as SOME of us have no problems at all.

Well, so much for refurb Sprint 6700's being in short supply. I called the insurance folks yesterday and they are sending out a 6700; after they took my $50 of course. There was never a doubt about it. They must have plenty.
I was kind of getting used to the idea of having to go buy a microSD card and not having my custom ROM.

I guess I'm stuck with my finely tuned Apache until my 2 years is up in October. Nothing like being on the trailing edge of technology

I took my 6700 to a Sprint store after a "flash corruption" and swapped out my 6700 for a brand new mogul....I did do an insurance claim once about a month before the swapped the mogul and did get a refrub 6700....I think you have to go to a sprint store to get a mogul swap.
