Explanation of epst

Can somebody please explain to me the epst setting in the MIP profiles? my data connection isn't working (i can make calls and sms), and i was told that my password is my 7 digit number. i've set up my data connection in the connections tab, but i still get the "#777 cannot connect for an unknown reason error" i am using a cooked kitchen based off of the no2chem 5060 rom (Awesome ROM BTW).

Thanks

Re: Explanation of epst

Get to your extended rom folder and try running IOTA.cab, soft reset, and see if it works. Also, you might need to go to Start, Settings, Phone, Services, scroll down to Internet, click Get Settings, and click Start. I had to do this the first time I installed a cooked rom before my internet would work. If that doesn't do it then hopefully some one smarter than I can help out.

EPST?
Isn't that a pregnancy test? The pee on the stick and it turns blue?

If you installed an official Sprint ROM to get the radio, then yes, that IOTA cab is only for Sprint. who's your provider/mobile phone company?

Re: Explanation of epst

its a canadian company MTS. they don't do OTA but they operate very closly with bell. The thing is i bought a bell phone. i got the voice and sms provisioned to mts, and at the time data (only 1x) worked, unfortunatly when i flashed the sprint 3.35 rom i didn't reset before the customization went through and like a n00b i didn't write down all of my settings. i've gt them now i just have to figure out where to put them in

Re: Explanation of epst

nope, you need to flash to a stock rom for your provider (or one very simmilar - I guess) LET Their Customizations Run - then reflash to the sprint rom, WITHOUT letting the Sprint Customizations run, there is more than meets the eye to the Spint customizations.

Re: Explanation of epst

You can flash to any ROM you want but go with 3.35 since it enables Rev. A and GPS. It's the best stock ROM so far.

Re: Explanation of epst

unfortunately bell doesn't have a 3.35 rom. its alright i'll just reflash to no2chem's 5060. i just need to flash to reset my epst settings so they (hopefully) will work with my provider.hopefully thats all that i'll have to do.
