Funny story...
I apologize if this doesn't really belong here, but I really felt like you'd all get a kick out of this.
This happened to me yesterday. I was filming a an event for a video I'm working on, and I saw someone who was playing with a Mogul behind me. Figuring I know a thing or two about this device that might be helpful to him, I started a conversation with the stranger. Turns out his device freezes several times a day and he's running the new Sprint ROM. I told him you can fix that by installing a custom firmware, or at the very least flash only the radio to 1.40, and he replied that "Oh, I've seen those online, but I'm scared to try them". I responded that its not really so complicated, I've done it myself. He replied "I know, I was thinking about it because I found this great tutorial that goes into a lot of detail on one of these message boards". Something struck a chord inside me, and I asked "Oh, you mean the one by Dishe?". I'm not sure how to explain his reaction when I informed the stranger that he was talking to "Dishe" in person. For the next 15 minutes, I felt like a celebrity. Here was someone who had been closely following everything I had written as if it were gospel, and had never expected to meet me. It was better than the time I wrote an article about how to force Pocket PC applications to run on a Smartphone device, and found myself quoted in other places (rumor has it that article raised some eyebrows at Microsoft). Thank you guys for creating such a successful forum that I can be a part of. And thanks to everyone who did all the REAL research on Rom flashing... I just wrote it all down. You guys gave me a high last night.

a little different but dishe you run my rom youll like this
i was in a bar a few weeks ago and saw the guy next to me pull out a cingular 8525. at first glance I thought it was a mogul and I did a double take. I said, "hey man, what kind of phone is that?" he turned and said "This is what we call a P - D - A" I just said "oh, thanks for the info" and let it go

how about this: i was playing with my mogul at work the other day while we were interviewing for a new position and this guy was like "oh mogul i have one of those. i run winmo 5 on it!"
i was like "oh yeah? clean rom?" "yeah" *points to self* "sampson" guy almost crapped his pants =D>
