Delayed keyboarding

My keyboarding is always delayed. i type and it builds up and takes awhile to get going. Are there any fixes for that? i know that for the dialpad i just had to turn off short tones and this fixed, but i do not know what to do for the regular typing. Its very frustrating and very slow. Thanks.

Did you update to the latest ROM? There were some fixes to the keyboard. Nothing specific to this issue on the update notes, but you never know.

I still have a delayed keyboard after the 2.16 update. I'm using the SMS thread hack, and though maybe that was the culprit. Are you?

i only had the problem with the SMS thread hack before the update, it never affected anything else. I have yet to see the problem with the latest update

The culprit is the treaded SMS app. ROM update didn't solve it for me.

Mine is delayed and I do not have anything installed for SMS. But I usually type right after I slide the kb out for landscape mode. So, that's probably why mine is lagged.

It has always been like this for me even when it wasn't treaded.

Same here..I don't even know wtf this "threaded SMS" does, but I don't have that and it still delays. Yes, I do have the new ROM as well. Oh well.
