Need gps receiver for Sprint Mogul

Hello,

It has probably been discussed previously somewhere on ppcgeeks before but I couldn't find it. I have a Sprint Mogul and need a GPS receiver / software. Can anyone suggest a unit that will work with WM6?

Thanks very much!

I just got my Holux m-1200 receiver yesterday and I love it. I have it on my keychain and it seems to work great. I'm using it with google maps & live search at the moment.

I got mine on eBay for around 60 w/shipping, which is very reasonable.

I believe it's the smallest BT GPS receiver out there (or close to the smallest).

Holux receivers are usually pretty great. I personally have a Holux 240

Thanks for the input! They are all over ebay for about $60. So what is involved with using google maps with it? I was kinda hoping for software that had a voice so that I could keep my eyes on the road a bit more. Any suggestions ref. software?

GPS Receiver and software

I have been using TomTom 6 for almost a year on my PPC-6700 and will be installing it on my Mogul today. The GPS receiver works flawlessly and is very accurate. The package cost is a little steep but I think you will be very satisfied. If you are planning on using another software I haven’t been able to find the GPS receivers anywhere else cheaper than this place. My favorite is the Oncourse 3rd edition receiver. The TomTom has voice directions and excellent turn by turn navigation, even if you miss your turn.

Another vote for Holux M-1200, fast fixes and great reception. I use it with iGuidance and works great.

I like iGuidance best for a turn-by-turn nav program with voice prompts, though TomTom is fine too. Semsons has some nice bundle deals (software + GPS receiver). Here's a link to their iGuidance bundles. When choosing a receiver, get one with either a SirfIII chipset or MTK chipset. They are much better than the previous technologies. If you want GPS for pedestrian use, SirfIII is generally a little better for that. ... As someone else noted, Holux is a very reliable brand of receiver. So is iTrek.

i have Houlx GPSlim240 with OCN6, they work great on my Mougl. I bought them from Buygpsnow. The followings are the links including the discount: (sorry don't know how to do hyperlink on this form). OCN6 does turn by turn, but they don't say the streets' name; they also reroute for you.

GPS Bundles :http://www.buygpsnow.com/oncourse-bundles_63.aspx

I actually bought the bundle from them, but through amazon.com since tax wasn't included, it turned out to be cheaper than if you were buying the bundle with the bundle discount.
