yet another vote for holux 1200. i think that that should be a given. if you get a mogul, you get holux. super small, fast, great battery life, its perfect.

I'm using a Freedom Keychain GPS with Windows Live and am very happy with it.
|
I put my hand up for the Holux 1200 as well.

I'm very happy with my Holux M-1200 too, but for hiking I miss my i.Trek M-3, which I gave to my brother when I got the M-1200. The M-3's chipset was better for hiking. So now I've bought a cheap M-3 off eBay to replace the one I gave away.
But for driving navigation, the Holux M-1200 is really hard to beat. I'm also really tempted to try that solar-powered, data-logging receiver that i.Trek has released. Then again, I probably don't need three GPS receivers. |
Well, I guess I'll get a Holux M-1200. Next time I'm lost in the middle of the rain forest in south america with a tribe of starved cannibals, it might come in handy.

How nice would it be to have fully functioning GPS in the Mogul. :( I guess I can stop pretending it will ever be enabled (if it even can). I guess this is pretty much ruled out and confirmed by now.
What are the downsides of a cheaper BT GPS unit? Whats the major differences between the GPSlim 240 and the M-1200 besides size obviously. Whats the difference between the chipsets (Sirf III v. MKT)? |
my Holux M1000 works great with iGuidance 4.0
I paid $50 for the GPS module shipped from California to Canada. |
I just got my Freedom mini today. Only got to test i out with my dell x30 with windows live. Had some problems setting it up but it seems like it was a issue with the dell not the antenna.

here is a BT GPS for only $30
http://www.buygpsnow.com/GlobalSat-B...328)__916.aspx it gets pretty decent reviews http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php?a...reviews&id=829 if you are only going to use Google Map then this is a cheap way to do it. |
