Hi sdax2 and welcome to PPCGeeks!

ok, this is super quick so i will edit as time permits:

WM6: BT Manager / Settings:
- Check Bluetooth On
- Check Allow other BT devices to see this phone
PC: Control Panel / Bluetooth Devices
- Options: Check Turn discovery on
- Options: Check Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer
- Devices tab: Add; Check My device is ready to set up
Add Bluetooth Device Wizard
- PC: Select New device (Your Device), Next
- PC: Choose a passkey for me
- WM6: Bluetooth Manager Passkey (may need to jog BT Manager if this doesn't appear) - Enter passkey, Accept
- PC: Installing Bluetooth device
- WM6: Bluetooth Authorization: Accept all connections from this device, Accept
- PC: Note Incoming COM port #, Finish

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center).

I actually run Soti Pocket Commander over BT while my device charges. Remember BT is slow at 1mbps or so meaning USB is still the fastest for large file transfer.

Cheers,
