HomePlug users: What do you do for a battery guage?
I've been using SPB Mobile Shell for a while now due it its nice Now splash screen and its great Today plugin. Lately it's been giving me some trouble, though, so I decided to give the six-button HTC HomePlug a shot and I'm liking it so far.
My one issue, though, is that the icon for the SPB quick launch tab on the Today screen was an extremely useful battery guage. And considering how bad battery life is on this phone, I need that. The HomePlug seems to have no battery guage. What's a good solution that's not going to heavily clutter up my Today screen even further? |
I use this small little app called VistaHide Battery Gauge. It's a small little bar on the top of the screen, and shows you how much battery you have left. Doesn't clutter any Today space at all!

I use perastats by 6700yuma which can be found on here.

Wisbar Lite also has a battery bar on top of the screen.
BatteryStatus at http://www.chi-tai.info is an excellent little util. It takes little space and in addition to the remaining battery, it can show how much battery the unit is using per sec. Be careful with the CPU related option though. It doesn't work very well with Mogul and might freeze the phone. |
VistaHide. Easily the best. It takes up something like 4 pixels across the top of the screen.

Seems pretty cool. I just installed it. Have you found any programs it conflicts with?

Wow great app. Works great

I personally use Wisbar Advanced 3... Worth every penny!

I like Batti. It's free, small, and configurable. I prefer it to VistaHide.
AFAIK, "HTC Homeplug" does include a battery monitor. At least the one that shipped with my Mogul did. It's not the same as the "HTC Home" plugin for the Today screen. |
