is there a way to send texts automatically?

Is there a way to setup the default text message app or have an app that will send a text automatically at that time?

say if i want to text someone "Hello" at like 5:06 PM every day, is there something that will do that for me automatically?

I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out why a person might want to do such a thing. In your example, why wouldn't the recipient simply set up a daily alarm at 5:06 that says "Hello?" That way they'd get the message even if the the network is down or the sender is out of network. I suppose if there were some reason to say "Both the network and my phone are working as of now" every day at the same time then sending an SMS would do the job, but why would that be necessary?

If an application was created for this, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people with plenty of reasons.

I don't see anything wrong with it...
