Is it normal for the 6800 to make non DTMF sounds for numbers 1-2-3 when dialing??
Just curious because my friends 6800 does the same thing. 4-9 sound like normal tones, but 1-3 are out of pitch...
He was thinking it was a security feature for eavesdroppers who might be near by when dialing...?? |

This might be due to the phone speaker cannot reproduce one of the tones for keys 1, 2 and 3. I'm thinking it is the 697Hz tone.

Ah, Ok..
So it is not a design function. Does it happen to be universal to all of them? Anyone else have this? I am about to list the phone on eBay and want to make sure the listing is accurate and honest.. Thanks!! |
