Mogul From Alltel to Verizon
 

I'm having some trouble switching carriers from Alltel to Verizon. In particular, verizon reps are telling me that I can no longer activate an Alltel phone unless my Alltel account was transferred over to Verizon when the merger occurred. Does anyone know if there's a way around this? Thanks in advance!

No Titans are CDMA T-Mobile is GSM. two different technologies.

Hi. I have an alltel ppc6800 but i am contracted to Verizon. Can anyone tell me how I can unlock my phone so I can use it with Verizon? Thanks.

If you didn't originally have alltel and got grandfathered into verizon then you can't activate a alltel phone on your verizon account legally.

Otherwise everyone would stay on their old cheap Alltel contracts instead of switching to the high priced Verizon contracts.

I wish I would have seen this a few days ago....I just bought an Alltel version, cause it was listed as a unit that would work on Verizon, and because it looked a bit different... With Verizon owning both I figured they would allow all Esn`s....

I do like the look of the Alltel one a lot better but Verizon wouldnt activate it last night either by ESN on the site or calling tech....I was never Alltel customer and even if I was, I couldnt put it on my certain 5 line account for some reason....That part confused me because its the same exact phone but just branded for someone they bought out....Strange...

Alltel has been bought in our area so Im kinda left with a nice pretty phone in a box that cant go on my provider...
