Seidio 3200mAh battery not useful!!

Hi all

I bought a Sedio 3200mAh battery for my tytn II (tilt) as i was really frustrated by the original battery, it doent last 4 hours of music or browsing, i thought 3200mAh, will be enough and it will give me atleast 10 hours, alas what a mistake, this new battery lasts couple of hours above the original battery, say 6 hours, and i have done the full charge and drain for 5 times, still it hasnt acheived it s peak tiem( as said in leflet), Ihave done all the battery tweaks, i dotn use bluetooth at all, and my wifi is on all the time, i have disabled receive beams, what else should i try? if anybody can help it will be useful, the phoen is wonderful but problems with battery, even with extended battery it is the same story.

Am i making any mistake? if anybody can correct me, it will be gret help
thanks

Turn wifi off when not using it. That is what is killing your battery

Perhaps.. However, if you have the device turned off, I believe the Wifi is in standby mode, and is not searching for signals. It might draw some power, but I don't think it is half of the power that is drained, when it is actually in use. If you are conducting the same test, for both batteries, then it should be a lot better than that. Maybe you can contact the support, and see if you can get a replacement. It might be bad, or an older battery. Just some more food for thought.

When your Battery is at about 10 or 15%, remove the Battery and put it back in and see if the level has increased . The Tilt has a hard time reading 3200 Batteries.... known fact. You should see the meter show at least between 45 to 55% now.

Re: Seidio 3200mAh battery not useful!!

If I unplug from charger at 4:30 am on Friday...I will not have to recharge it again until late Sunday evening on moderate to heavy usage and also if you install Quickmenu app, it will show you the remaining Battery life and Backup Battery life.

Re: Seidio 3200mAh battery not useful!!

Mine is on (ie, radio on blinking, but on standby), but hardly used (its my work/development phone... not much development.)

Can go 2-3 days and be at 40-50% battery. The wifi will kill you. You will get no more then 4-6 hours of on time with wifi on. Why do you have wifi on all the time?

In my office there is wireless network, and 3G service is way too exp. in this country, so i use internet in my PPC thru wifi, and moreover my flat is just above the place i work, so i get the wifi there too, and i can use internet in my room without any charges
