Active sync

I have the AT&T tilt and so far the phone has been great. I actually switch from Verizon to AT&T. I found the tilt to be more durable than Verizon's XV6800 and way less quirky compared to my old XV6700. The only thing I have noticed with the tilt is that the active sync keeps launching in the background. Every time I get a txt, pic, or video message or create a new one, the active sync comes up in the programs running menu. Is there anyway to stop this ?

There are ways to keep it from starting automatically, but activesync is what syncs to the server to get your email and such. If you disable it, good bye automatic syncing to get your mail and messages.
